MOBIA is currently looking for a Technician to join our team in the Gatineau / Mont-Tremblant region.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, your work scope may include, but is not limited to:

- Reception of materials, opening and verification of bill of ladings.
- Installation & Decommissioning of Telecom equipment & Testing.
- Reporting to your immediate manager any issues or missing items.
- Testing and troubleshooting radio issues with customer & Riggers.
- Travel to site to troubleshoot defective equipment, (Controller, power cards, wiring etc)
- Opening & Closing customer Tickets
- IP networking, Microwave testing, 911 drive testing and test calls
- Read and understand technical documents, and/or equipment installation manual; plan and complete jobs in accordance with these guidelines
- Install and upgrade components, parts, cable, equipment, and systems
- Installation and placement of electronic equipment
- Experience working in a Telco environment
- Familiarity and experience with grounding standards
- Following customer provided installation standards

**Skills/Qualifications**:

- 2+ years in field telecommunications technician roles is an asset
- Knowledge of Telco standards
- Good Knowledge AC/DC theory
- DC Power Plant installation knowledge
- Familiarity with wireless networks is an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Overall knowledge of networking architectures
- High aptitude for troubleshooting and working under pressure
- Ability to explain technical concepts and theories to a non-technical audience
- Solid written and verbal communication
- IT and PC knowledge and understanding
- Fluent in French is mandatory, English is considered an asset
