Fort Erie International Academy opened its doors to international students from around the world in September 2019. Located in the heart of Fort Erie, FEIA represents an “East Meets West” philosophy, which celebrates diversity, culture, family and community. With the growth of FEIA and to help the families and community in Fort Erie with the need for childcare, Fort Erie International Academy has opted to open its first ever childcare in the Niagara Region. **Requirements**:

- E.C.E. diploma and registered member of the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators; one ECE experienced working with all age groups is preferred
- Valid standard First Aid and CPR
- Up-to-date immunizations
- Up to date Vulnerable sector criminal record check (valid within 6 months of hire)
- Montessori training an asset

**Position description**:

- The RECE program worker is responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of programs and services at FEIA. The Program Worker is accountable to the assigned supervisor.
- FEIA is hiring positions for our **Toddler, Preschool, and Kindergarten rooms**. **Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Deliverables include but are not exclusive to:_
- Fosters an environment that ensures children's safety, health and well-being and allows for optimal learning and development
- Facilitate a learning environment that embraces the whole child; physically, emotionally, cognitively, socially, and spiritually.
- Prepares daily/weekly program plans based on children's interests/needs and works with other staff to implement these plans and activities
- Clean and disinfect toys
- Understands and implements FEIA childcare’s Program Statement
- Assists children with daily routines (such as but not limited to: diapering/toileting, hand washing, sleep/rest time, snacks and lunch, outdoor play, dressing)
- Ensures all policies, regulations, and classroom documentation is fulfilled
- Ability to manage personal information in a strictly confidential manner
- Able to operate within performance and ethical standards as set by FEIA and the Ministry of Education.
- Able to work with all ages from 18 months to 6 years old.
- Knowledge of and the ability to meet the requirements of: The Child Care and Early

Years Act, College of Early Years Act, College of Early Childhood Educators, Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, How Does Learning Happen? Quality Child Care Niagara, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Niagara Region Public Health and any other associated regulations.

**Monday to Friday**
- FEIA is opened 7am-6pm, Hours are to be discussed upon hire

**Salary**
- $18.00 - $19.00 per hour **Benefits**
