**Wedding Lead - Seasonal Position at Maan Farms**

Maan Farms is a family-run destination in Abbotsford, BC known for creating unforgettable moments—from berry picking and wine tasting to magical farm weddings. We’re looking for a reliable and outgoing individual to join us as a **Wedding Lead** for the 2025 season.

In this leadership role, you’ll work closely with our Wedding Coordinator to help bring each couple’s vision to life. Every Friday, you’ll review timelines and floor plans, gather and organize items from storage, and prepare for the big day. On Saturdays, you’ll oversee setup, manage staff, ensure the event flows smoothly, and take over as the main point of contact after dinner when the coordinator departs.

This is a highly rewarding position for someone who loves weddings, thrives in fast-paced environments, and enjoys being part of a close-knit team.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Pre-Wedding (Fridays)**:

- Meet with the Wedding Coordinator to review all timelines, floor plans, and details
- Pull, organize, and transport items needed from storage to the barn
- Conduct inventory checks and flag any missing or low supplies

**Wedding Day (Saturdays/Sundays - 12-hour shift)**:

- Lead set-up for ceremony, reception, buffet, and bar
- Direct and support event staff to ensure all areas are ready and running smoothly
- Confirm execution of the couple’s itinerary and communicate updates to managers
- Manage on-the-spot challenges calmly and efficiently
- Check bathrooms and guest areas throughout the evening
- After dinner, take over as lead contact for the couple, vendors, and staff
- Oversee teardown, ensure everything is returned properly, and verify staff complete their duties before leaving

**Requirements**:

- Must be available weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Confident giving direction and managing a small team
- Physically able to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Professional, positive, and guest-focused attitude
- Comfortable working long hours and in outdoor settings
- Previous event experience and Serving It Right certification are assets, but not required

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Abbotsford, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
