Site Supervisor

North Ridge Development Corporation, Saskatchewan’s leading home builder, is seeking a Site Supervisor to join our team. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the purpose of the Site Supervisor position is to ensure the successful completion of new home construction projects. This position is responsible for coordinating a crew of North Ridge staff and subtrades for each project and providing leadership so that they are empowered to fulfill their responsibilities.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Plan, schedule (North Ridge staff, subtrades and suppliers) and monitor construction activities to ensure all aspects of the project are completed on-time and safely. This includes regular review of the critical path and making adjustments to maintain the schedule.
- Review and direct subtrades to complete change orders as they are received and maintaining a job file to track work.
- Schedule municipal required inspections, coordinate necessary repairs for compliance and schedule re-inspections.
- Fill out Quality Assurance inspections on trades work. Direct subtrades and suppliers to repair or replace substandard workmanship or products.
- Sign off on invoices once trades have completed work.
- Conduct home pre-walkthrough inspection and final walkthrough with client at possession. Ensure all noted deficiencies are completed within 10 working days.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all site workers are complying with company safety policies.
- Work with the Project Manager and Estimator, Sales Consultant, suppliers and subcontractors to resolve design problems.
- Communicate with Warranty Department to identify problem areas. Make necessary adjustments to avoid problems in future homes.
- Conduct safety and toolbox meetings on a weekly basis with staff and subtrades.
- Conduct Hazard Assessments and Inspections prior to job start and at milestones.
- Maintain Occupational Health and Safety requirements on site with staff and subtrades.
- Identify safety incidents and issue disciplinary actions and work with Safety Specialists to address.
- Assist other Site Supervisors as required.
- Evaluate and monitor time sheets of direct reports for absences and payroll requirements.
- Manage performance of direct reports including providing direction, mentorship, establishing performance criteria and conducting performance reviews as per North Ridge’s process.
- Complete Vehicle Maintenance Report on a monthly basis and provide to Manager of Payroll, Safety and Asset Management.
- Resolve problems/issues in an effective and timely manner, always keeping the customer in mind.
- Perform other duties, including carpentry and labourer tasks as needed.
**Qualifications**:
- Carpentry Journeyman or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in construction industry.
- Knowledge of subtrades and North Ridge standards.
- Valid driver’s license, insurable by North Ridge.
- Site supervisor training.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient time management and organizational skills.
- General computer skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Safety conscious.
- Negotiation skills.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
