Working within the GNB Motive Power Industrial Battery Division, the Field Service Technician is responsible for the repair and preventative maintenance of batteries and chargers in a timely and efficient manner. Working at the customer’s site, typically a warehouse, you will diagnose and repair forklift batteries to enable customers' success. Travaillant au sein de la division des batteries industrielles de GNB Motive Power, le technicien de service sur site est responsable de la réparation et de la maintenance préventive des batteries et des chargeurs de manière opportune et efficace. En travaillant sur le site du client, généralement un entrepôt, vous diagnostiquerez et réparerez les batteries de chariots élévateurs pour assurer le succès des clients. Il s'agit d'un travail pratique de dépannage des batteries - ne possédez pas d'expérience en chariot élévateur, nous nous formerons

**Responsibilities**:

- Customer and On-Site Interaction:

- Conduct repairs, preventative maintenance, and audit work according to company policies and procedures
- Represent GNB in a neat and professional manner in accordance with GNB/Stryten standards
- Convey all information to the proper contact at the customer’s location to ensure customer satisfaction
- Practice safety and good housekeeping at customer site, in shop and in all circumstances when representing GNB/Stryten
- Actively promote point-of-sale items and allied products and services
- Prepare core/scrap batteries at customer site for shipment as necessary
- Recognize and recommend safety and OSHA/EPA issues
- Paperwork:

- Ensure work order, Warranty/PIR forms, and inventory control forms are filled out properly and submitted in a timely manner (within 24 hours)
- Complete time sheets and call logs on a daily basis and submit weekly
- Work closely with the Director and Service Coordinators to arrange service schedule, to convey issues, and submit all paperwork
- Additional Responsibilities:

- Handle customer issues and ensure timely and effective resolutions
- Escalate issues as needed to appropriate manager(s)
- Proper use of company funds and assets in the execution of the job
- Help out where needed (Shop) or as directed by Management
- Work closely with and assist other GNB Technicians and GNB Sales staff
- Participate in customer and internal meetings and training as needed
- Occasional Overnight travel may be required
- Additional responsibilities as required

Interaction client et sur site:

- Reconnaître et recommander les problèmes de sécurité et OSHA / EPA
- Formalités administratives:

- S'assurer que les bons de travail, les formulaires de garantie / PIR et les formulaires de contrôle des stocks sont correctement remplis et soumis en temps opportun (dans les 24 heures)
- Remplissez les feuilles de temps et les journaux d'appels quotidiennement et soumettez-les chaque semaine
- Travailler en étroite collaboration avec le directeur et les coordonnateurs des services pour organiser le calendrier des services, transmettre les problèmes et soumettre tous les documents
- Responsabilités supplémentaires:

- Gérer les problèmes des clients et garantir des résolutions rapides et efficaces
- Faire remonter les problèmes au besoin aux responsables appropriés
- Utilisation appropriée des fonds et des actifs de l'entreprise dans l'exécution du travail
- Aider si nécessaire (Boutique) ou selon les directives de la direction
- Travailler en étroite collaboration avec et aider les autres techniciens du GNB et le personnel des ventes du GNB
- Participer aux réunions clients et internes et à la formation au besoin
- Un voyage occasionnel d'une nuitée peut être nécessaire
- Responsabilités supplémentaires au besoin

Qualifications:
**Required Skills**:

- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess Commercial Drivers License with clean drivers abstract
