We are currently looking to hire a:
**Communications and Marketing Coordinator**
1 - Full Time, Permanent (35 hours/week)
**Reporting To**:Director, Communications and Development
**Responsibilities/Potential Projects**:
- Content Creation and Strategic Support_
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Communications and Development to implement a cohesive, organization-wide communications calendar. Assist in coordinating high-priority projects, events, and ad-hoc requests, ensuring alignment with SCHC’s strategic goals.
- Produce impact-driven client stories, educational content on SCHC’s services, and tailored messaging for diverse audiences, including seniors, youth, new Canadians, and donors, across social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram).
- Execute content creation i.e. photography and/or video production.
- Oversee content updates and management of SCHC’s website, ensuring accessible navigation and optimized information to promote SCHC’s brand and increase audience engagement.
- External Communications and Social Media_
- Support the execution of a targeted social media strategy, focusing on engagement for key audiences and high-impact platforms. Monitor social media metrics to assess engagement levels, inform content strategy, and optimize channel use based on audience demographics.
- Coordinate visual content production to support SCHC’s brand narrative of community health and program information.
- Donor and Community Partner Engagement_
- Assist in implementing the donor engagement strategy by supporting the Director of Communications and Development to develop regular updates, funder-specific content, and materials that reflect SCHC’s impact. Identify and share engagement opportunities tailored for donors, partners, and volunteers.
- Facilitate production of quarterly impact reports and targeted newsletters, sharing the outcomes of SCHC’s programs and inspiring continued support from the donor community.
- Support of SCHC fundraising events and activities.
- Internal Communications and Coordination_
- Coordinate with program teams to align messaging and share impactful client and community stories that highlight SCHC’s holistic approach to care. Lead the development of program-specific print materials and support staff in communicating key messages effectively.
- Work with the Director of Communications and Development to identify and address training needs within the SCHC team, equipping team members to engage with the broader SCHC narrative confidently and consistently.
- Administrative Support and Quality Control_
- Provide administrative and office management support, ensuring organized tracking of projects, deadlines, and key performance metric reporting.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews for communications materials, checking for accuracy, consistency in tone, and adherence to the SCHC brand and communications guidelines.
- Adheres to the SCHC Code of Conduct, Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest policies.
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary degree or graduate certificate in communications, marketing, social media, public relations, or a related field.
- Experience working within the non-for-profit or healthcare sector is an asset.
- 2-3 years of experience in digital media, marketing, and/or fundraising.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, content management systems (e.g., WordPress), social media tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Canva), and data analytics for digital media.
- With SCHC’s need to reach diverse populations in our community, written and verbal fluency in languages beyond English will be considered an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to prioritize and support strategic communications goals.
- Commitment to SCHC’s mission and ability to work with diverse populations and understanding of culturally sensitivity in Scarborough neighborhoods.

**Remuneration**: $25.60 - $28.91
