Reporting to the Manager, Cargo Marketing, the Social Media & Content Marketing Manager - Cargo is responsible for developing and delivering on both the paid and organic social media strategies to maximize on both campaign level activities and always on organic content across Air Canada Cargo's social platforms. This position will be responsible for developing Air Canada Cargo's social media presence and for hands-on content creation to support these social media campaigns.
**Responsibilities:
**- Plan and produce Air Canada Cargo social marketing campaigns, paid and organic across all major social platforms
- Create engaging content and impactful narratives that support marketing's strategic pillars
- Build and maintain a rolling organic content calendar, posting content in an engaging and timely manner
- Responsible for all aspects of story/content/production for social content projects, including budget management and vendor management (if necessary)
- Community management, inclusive of fielding direct message inquiries, comments, and outbound engagement
- Support in the development of the social strategy and approach, identifying KPIs and communication objectives in consultation with the Manager, Communications & Product Marketing and Manager, Cargo Marketing
- In collaboration with the Manager, Cargo Marketing and ACMD (Air Canada's internal digital media agency), participate in developing the strategy and execute on paid media, including recommending optimizations through the analysis of data and through weekly/monthly/quarterly reports
- Leverage a test & learn approach to new social media activities, content types, and platforms
- Support in the development of external social media guidelines, tone of voice, visual identity, etc., in collaboration with the creative team
- Ensure social content meets global brand guidelines
Continuously look for new and innovative opportunities in social media marketing; periodically meet with social media platforms to explore new and developing products and opportunities
- Manage social media communications in times of crisis, work closely with Corporate Communications - requirement to be on-call to assist if necessary
**Qualifications**
- University degree in Communications, Marketing or equivalent
- 3-5+ years of relevant marketing and content creation experience; air cargo/logistics/B2B experience is an asset
- Self-starter who shows initiative and innovation through to execution and launch with a respect for the strategic objectives
- Experience in paid and organic campaigns on Linkedin is a must
- Experience producing and creating social content - writing, editing, designing, video production, etc.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid project management and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable working independently and within a team environment assisting colleagues whenever possible
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple, simultaneous priorities in a fast-paced, quickly moving environment
- High levels of ingenuity, creativity, and initiative
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Proficiency of Adobe Creative Cloud products (InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.)
- Experience working with agencies; Agency experience is preferred
- Bilingual English and French is preferred
- This position can be located in Montreal (Dorval) or Toronto
