**Aufgaben**:
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Conduct safety inspections and record and report site non-conformities to appropriate site personnel
- Conduct incident investigations and ensure required external reporting obligations have been met and assist with the Return-to-Work Program
- Conduct site orientations (as per pandemic protocols) and manage site documentation and records.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new documentation for continuous improvement of the Corporate
- Health and Safety Management System
- Ensure inspection and maintenance of all safety equipment on-site and oversee the JHSC
- Oversee rescue team scheduling and related inspections of rescue trailer
- Arrange, participate, and document site mock emergency drills
- Liaise with external agencies when necessary (MOL, MOE, etc.)
- Ensure training compliance for site personnel and subcontractors and update files accordingly
- Maintain the SDS library and ensure distribution and communication of new documentation
- Monthly participation in worker safety talks to ensure the effectiveness of/bolster, the internal responsibility system
- Order safety equipment and supplies as required and approved by the Health and Safety Manager
- Performs other related duties as assigned

**Qualifikationen**:
**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3 years experience in a Health & Safety related role in Heavy Civil Construction
- Experience with external audits an asset
- Extensive knowledge of local regulations as they pertain to health and safety and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Experience in tunneling asset
- Health and Safety designations an asset

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Strong MS Office skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to motivate the workforce
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated and flexible
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment
- Team player with a commitment to continuous improvement in health and safety
- Able to work flexible hours
- Must have a valid “G” Ontario driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract

The employee is generally required to work on a construction site.
