**Accounting Manager**

**OBJECTIVE**:

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintain and oversee all accounting procedures and processes.
- Provide training to new and existing staff as required.
- Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
- Produce monthly and annual financial statements.
- Responsible for preparing journal entries with the appropriate supporting documentation.
- Effectively lead and manage the escalation and resolution of reporting issues or significant variances from expected results.
- Complete daily bank reconciliations.
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, analysis and related schedules
- Maintain fixed asset continuity schedule and calculate monthly depreciation.
- Ensure all related party transactions are recorded correctly and balance.
- Prepares, process and ensure compliance to corporate, government, and accounting requirements (HST, WSIB, EHT etc.)
- Establish and implement internal controls and accounting policies
- Facilitates annual audit by providing information and answers to auditors
- Prepare other ad hoc financial reports as required by senior management.
- Analyze and interpret complex financial and accounting records.
- All other duties as assigned.

**PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**:

- Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, public or business administration, or a related field.
- Five years of responsible professional accounting experience including two years of administrative, decision-making and/or lead Managerial experience.
