Symphony Senior Living's is a family company operating four locations in Ottawa, Canada. We provide private pay services to residents in our beautiful communities, from independent living, through to end of life. We are the true alternative to a Long-Term Care facility - to that end we are NOT a medical institution we are the HOME to many seniors of many levels of ability.
Symphony Senior Living is currently seeking a Community Relations Coordinator (Marketing and Sales manager) with a caring heart. We will teach you our systems, programs, and philosophy. However, we cannot teach compassion and empathy, so you will demonstrate those to us in an interview process.

**We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced leader to join our team as Community Relations Coordinator. You should be ambitious and driven in your pursuit to assist residents and Families; that means this is NOT a 9-5 Monday to Friday job -- needs come at all times day and night. Our most successful team members in this position, are driven to succeed, extroverted, love interacting with people and moving residents into their new home, where they can get the support they need. They are creative in their approaches and rejection is just a minor hurdle to over come. They must be VERY comfortable with health care needs in general and can quickly learn the industry and terminology.**

**Job Qualifications**:
- Compassion, Common Sense and Empathy required
- Must be able to work flexible and periodic weekends, and evenings and function as part of a team that ensures 7-day management coverage onsite. Mature perspective and 5-10 years experience in some management or sales preferred.
- A desire to help others: we don’t “sell” we Help and Serve families, residents and loved ones.
- Comfortable with cold calling, phone and in person follow up, medical situations, hospitals and clinics, seniors, and dementia.
- Computer skills are a MUST: for updating CRM leads, excel and other basic reporting.
- A college diploma or University degree in Sales and Marketing, Social work, PR, communications, or similar function is beneficial but not required.
- Must be in good physical and mental shape as this job can be both demanding and involve situations were as part of a team you will be expected to cover emergency situations.

- You must be able to work with dogs, cats and other animals
- Due to our high level of residents with dementia; your tattoos and piercings must either remained covered by clothing or are discrete. Any other external body decoration, including hair, must not be frightening to a frail senior with dementia.
- You must be legally allowed to work in Canada
- You must be in good physical health as this job requires lifting, sitting, standing and walking.
- Must be available to work on weekends

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
