**Job Summary**: The Maintenance Repair Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment and facilities within our gym. This role is essential to providing our members with a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment. You will handle routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and contribute to the overall functionality of our fitness center.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Equipment Maintenance**: Perform routine checks, servicing, and repairs on gym equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and strength training machines.
- ** Facility Upkeep**: Ensure all areas of the gym, including locker rooms, showers, and common areas, are clean, safe, and in good working order. Handle minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as plumbing issues, electrical troubleshooting, and painting.
- ** Emergency Repairs**: Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests, including malfunctioning equipment or facility issues, ensuring mínimal disruption to gym operations.
- ** Inventory Management**: Track maintenance supplies and equipment, order necessary parts and materials, and maintain an organized storage area.
- ** Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, conducting regular inspections to ensure that all gym equipment and facilities meet safety standards.
- ** Communication**: Work closely with gym management to report major issues, provide recommendations for improvements, and ensure that all repairs are completed to satisfaction.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a gym or fitness environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment and facility issues.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices for maintenance work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
