Hodgins Building Centre Port Elgin has a position available for a motivated and energetic individual to join our team. We are currently hiring a seasonal (summer) **Lumber** **Yard Associate**

**Responsibilities and Duties**:
The yard associate is required to perform the below duties, adhere to company policies, procedures, and all safety compliance regulations.
- Accurately fill orders
- Manually load and unload material, must be able to lift 90 pounds
- Provide distinct and positive customer service
- Be able to work in an outdoor environment and in all seasons
- Keep yard and sheds in a clean and presentable appearance
- Complete paperwork thoroughly and accurately

**Qualifications and Skills**

To be successful in this role you will be expected to:

- Be able to work independently and make well informed decisions on your own
- Be a clear communicator, demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills and work effectively with customers and co-workers.

Please note, the position is seasonal with 40 to 44 hours in the summer months. Option to continue to part time come fall could be made available.

**Job Type**: Seasonal

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Shift:

- 8 hour shift

Work days:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
