**As a**
**Petroleum Inspector**
**, your main responsibilities are**:
Visit client facilities, including barges and ships, shore tanks, railcars, and tank trucks for quantity surveys of a variety of commodities including petroleum and petrochemicals inspection and collect samples for laboratory analysis.
- Receive orders, obtain information, and gather paperwork from Operations Supervisor(s) on movements.
- Ensure that all equipment is in good operating condition, calibration verification, correct and clean. This includes safety and monitoring equipment appropriate to the job.
- Report to job-site punctually and observe all Inspectorate applicable federal and state regulations and standards, Terminal, Refinery, and/or vessel requirements; including quality, safety and environmental standards.
- Support the ISO certificate(s) and assist in the corrective/preventive action process.
- Read, understand and adhere to the company Business Management System; including Quality, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Attend key meetings with external personnel ashore and/or abroad. Represent Inspectorate by appearance and conduct and behaves ethically at all times.
- Communicate any problems, discrepancies, or other noteworthy incidents to the Operations Supervisor and/or Dispatcher without delay.
- Obtain samples, gauges shore tanks, vessel(s), barge(s), railcar(s), and/or tank truck(s) as specified per job order.
- Label sample containers with full and correct identifying data, including location of sample, material, type of sample, safety information, time collected, etc.
- Promptly and accurately calculate quantities and complete all required paperwork and distribute copies appropriately.
- Promptly and safely deliver samples to an Inspectorate laboratory for analysis or turn in for retain, or client facilities for analysis or retain.
- Review any discrepancies with Operations Supervisor, sign and return job order form.
- Maintain a 24-hour on-call status. Support and participate in the Company’s Business Management System (BMS). Attend company meetings as required.

**, if you have**:

- High school diploma or General Education Development Certificate (GED).
- Knowledge of company HS&E procedures and associated governmental regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Access to a well maintained vehicle to travel to job locations
