We are looking for an outgoing and experienced land use planner who is active in the community and has a minimum of ten years of planning experience. An urban planning degree or similar and fully certified RPP, MCIP members with the Canadian Institute of Planners is preferred.
- Applicants should demonstrate experience in regulatory land use planning, land use policy and urban design. Experience working within Alberta’s planning system and prior consulting experience is preferred as well as experience giving presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- The position includes a mix of land development processes (Land Use redesignations, Area Structure Plans, Outline Plans, Subdivisions), a variety of public sector planning projects, and collaboration with our engineering team.
- Business development and promotional work are an important part of the role.
- As part of a team, applicants should be self-motivated and able to provide leadership and guidance to other team members but also be able to work independently as a self-starter. Opportunities for growth in your role within the company are limited only by your ambition.
