Toronto, Canada MINIMAX EXPRESS TRANSPORTATION Full time

Minimax Express is a family owned LTL carrier that has been in business for over 30 years. We have 6 terminals in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as a Night Dispatcher in our Toronto terminal.

**Responsibilities**:

- Communicate with inbound line haul drivers to address any issues
- Responsible to rotate inbound freight so as to maximize local city trucks in a cost effective manner
- Clearly and concisely, communicate to warehouse staff the priorities of unloading and loading trailers
- Assign routes to drivers, update absences
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during operations
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) Degama to update: arrivals, departures, driver, truck and trailer assignments, print manifests as required

**Experience and Education**
- Minimum 2 years working for a LTL carrier in a dispatch role
- High School Diploma
- Experience with Degama (TMS) an asset

**Qualifications**
- Execllent telephone/communication/people skills booth written and verbal
- Strong time management skills, ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to multi task and trouble shoot
- Strong computer skills (common programs, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong understanding of LTL transportation with excellent geographical knowledge of the GTA and surrounding area
- Detail oriented
- Knowledge of equipment (tractors andtrailers including weight restrictions
