Toronto, Canada Siltech Corporation Full time

**Siltech Corporation, a Canadian owned Chemical company, is looking to hire immediately a QC Technician for our Toronto facility. This is a 13 month Contract, full-time position.**

Reporting to the QC Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring that the quality of final products and raw materials conform to required specifications.

Schedule:
2pm - 10pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

8am - 4pm Friday, Saturday

Sunday & Monday: off

**Main Duties**

1. Performs QC testing of final, intermediate and raw materials in a timely manner to ensure quality requirements. (utilizing wet chemistry and instrumentation)

2. Enters all final results into Chempax system (database).

3. Maintains required work records using Good Documentation Practices.

4. Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment (includes washing glassware).

**Skills required**

1. College Diploma in Chemistry or related field.

2. Basic knowledge of analytical instrumentation. (GC, GPC, FT-IR, KF Water, Brookfield Viscometers, pH meters)

3. Proficient in wet chemistry analysis techniques.

4. Knowledge of quality control and instrumentation procedures.

5. Computer Literate. (Experienced with MS Excel and Word)

6. Ability to multi-task and perform duties in timely manner.

7. Excellent attention to detail.

8. Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision.

9. Strong written, reading and verbal communication skills.

**Essential Work Experience**

1. 1+ years working in a chemical environment.

2. Experience with polymers/silicone chemistry a plus.

3. Experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
