**Position Summary**:
The First Nations Regional Health Survey (RHS) is the only First Nations -governed, national health survey in Canada. It collects information about on-reserve and northern First Nations communities based on both Western and traditional understandings of health and well-being. This survey will be conducted primarily online and by telephone.
Reporting to the a Regional Field Supervisor, the Data Collectors implement the RHS by engaging participants on reserve and collecting data according to the methods requested by community leadership.

**As a health and wellness organization, the First Nations Health Authority has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.**

**Responsibilities**:
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Makes initial contact with participant to discuss the survey and the participant’s role
- Responds to any question the participant may have in regards to the survey
- Ensures that participants provide informed consent prior to survey completion
- Schedules an appointment with the participant for telephone survey completion
- Conducts confidential data collection activities using a laptop computer as directed by the Field Supervisor
- Ensures that all data captured is kept secure at all times and that confidentiality of all data collected and names of participants is maintained
- Travels to First Nation communities upon request
- Follows required protocols, including health and safety guidelines
- Responds to communications from Field Supervisor and other team members promptly
- Participates in regular team meetings with Field Supervisor
- Performs other related duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Occupational Certification
- Valid British Columbia driver’s license
- Access to a personal vehicle an asset
- Must attend virtual training sessions prior to data collection

Experience
- Experience working with First Nations is an asset
- Data collection experience in a survey project is an asset

**Knowledge, Skills & Attributes**:
Knowledge
- Knowledge of and respect for BC First Nations history and diverse cultures
- Knowledge of OCAP® principles an asset

Competencies
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
- Basic skills including use of spreadsheets and word processing preferred
- Ability to navigate multiple electronic devices and programs
- Ability work independently, and as part of a team, with mínimal supervision
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and matters in a trusted and responsible manner
- Must know how to speak, read and write English
- Must have effective interpersonal skills
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Must complete and pass a criminal record check
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
