**Position Details: Full time, Part time, Casual, Days, Eves**

**Compensation**:$31.10-33.00

**Job description**:

- Plan and implement engaging recreational activities, social programs, and special events for residents
- Assess residents' recreational needs and interests to develop personalized activity plans
- Lead both group and one-on-one activities including exercise classes, arts and crafts, music therapy, and cognitive stimulation programs
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of programs and special events
- Document resident participation and maintain accurate activity records
- Assist residents to and from activities, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Build meaningful relationships with residents while promoting social interaction and community engagement
- Support families by providing updates about their loved one's participation and engagement
- Maintain recreation supplies and equipment, while working within program budget
- Participate in care planning meetings to provide input on residents' recreational needs

**Qualifications**:

- Recreation and Leisure Services Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience working with seniors in a recreational capacity (preferred)
- Knowledge of dementia care and age-related conditions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physical ability to assist residents with mobility needs
- Creative problem-solving abilities
- Genuine interest in working with seniors
- Valid BC driver's license (preferred)
- Food Safe certification (preferred)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $31.10-$33.00 per hour
