**Summary**:
Reporting to the Foreman, the Operator is responsible for safely transporting and operating heavy equipment on construction sites. Job types include sewer & water, septic tanks, field and well hookups, utility service lines, gravity and low pressure sewer work, site cleanup, small/special projects and more. The work for this position is primarily local to Southeastern Manitoba, Winnipeg and surrounding areas.

**Job Duties Responsibilities**:

- Transport equipment to and from shop and construction sites daily
- Operate equipment safely as per standard operating procedures, equipment may include, but not limited to, 3.5 ton to 20 ton excavators, backhoes, skid steers
- Perform inspections, complete equipment maintenance tasks, and check equipment daily
- Keep equipment and vehicles clean and in safe/working order
- Load and unload equipment in a safe manner
- Report any accidents, damage, or defects immediately and work in a safe manner
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years’ experience in Excavator operating is required
- Must have a valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license
- Physically capable of performing the duties of the position; standing, sitting, lifting, etc. for long periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Safety-first attitude
- Provide: must have a hard hat, high visibility vest, CSA approved steel-toed safety boots/shoes
