**Summary**:
Reporting to the Foreman, the Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment on construction sites, working around underground and above-ground utilities, and working near people.

**Job Duties Responsibilities**:

- Operate equipment safely and as per standard operating procedures
- Perform inspections, complete equipment maintenance tasks, and check equipment daily
- Keep equipment and vehicles clean and in safe/working order
- Load and unload equipment in a safe manner
- Report any accidents, damage, or defects immediately and work in a safe manner
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years’ experience in Excavator operation around underground and above-ground utilities is required
- A valid driver’s license is preferred; class 1 or 3 are considered an asset
- Willing to work out of town/province, 10-day or 22-day shifts with 4 or 6 days off respectfully
- Physically capable of performing the duties of the position; standing, sitting, walking, lifting (up to 50lbs), bending, twisting, etc. for long periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Safety-first attitude
- Provide: must have a hard hat, high visibility vest, CSA approved steel-toed safety boots/shoes

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 - 80 per week

- Excavator: 2 years (preferred)
- sewer & water: 2 years (preferred)
