**Technical Analyst**

The Technical Analyst (TA) is responsible for analyzing technical information and aligning solutions to the business strategies and procedures for the purpose of meeting project goals. The Technical Analyst will also provide high-level technical support and systems analysis to identify, prevent, and resolve service interruptions in the organization’s networks and systems. The resource should have excellent critical-thinking and communication skills, as well as having a broad knowledge of the technology industry and disciplines.

**MUST HAVE SKILLS**:

- The proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following: University degree in business, management, or a related discipline and 4-yr Technical Business Analyst (TA) experience or
- 2-yr diploma in business, management, or a related discipline and 6-yr TA experience or
- 1-yr certificate in business, management, or a related discipline and 7-yr TA experience or
- 8-yr BA experience
- 4 years of experience in the design, development, and implementation of complex IT solutions.
- 4 years of experience in the development of project documents for a wide variety of initiatives and projects (requirements gathering, business process improvement, information technology, etc.).
- 4 years of experience as a technical analyst translating business requirements into detailed technical requirements in an enterprise environment.
- 4 years of experience with written and verbal communications including specific experience in drafting strategic business and technical documentation.
- 4 years of experience in facilitating and managing technical process development and process re-engineering workshops and sessions.
- 4 years of experience in gathering requirements from a diverse group of stakeholders across business departments.
- 4 years of experience in developing integrated system and technical design specifications on complex engagements.
- Available to lead frequent (daily) face-to-face meetings with clients and technical teams located in Edmonton, as required.

**NICE TO HAVE**:

- Makes decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex issues and without formal guidelines or precedents and exercises resourcefulness and ingenuity to interpret policy.
- Experience working within an agile development environment.
- Experience in facilitating meetings and communicating with senior management and project stakeholders.
- Experience working in or for the public sector with an organization the size and complexity of the GoA.
- Experience working in or for the public sector.
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing processes on large, complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Do you have related Canadian education (e.g., certificate, diploma, or degree) or your foreign credentials certified by Immigration Canada, IQAS or any accreditation acceptable to the Government of Canada or Alberta? Provide information regarding certification of foreign credentials.
