**What You Bring**:

- Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or Transportation Administration (or working towards). A combination of related training and experience will be considered
- Several years of progressively responsible experience in Transportation Operations
- Labour and employee relations experience
- Experience managing budgets and overseeing shop/vehicle maintenance
- Desire to lead large teams and encourage them to perform at their very best
- Proven ability to engage employees and develop strategies to increase retention
- Exceptional organizational, communication, analytic problem solving, and diplomacy skills
- Knowledge with Computer Hardware, Associated Software and Systems (i.e. vehicle tracking (AVL), scheduling (HASTUS) dispatching (Spare On-Demand), etc.)
- “Lead by Example” attitude towards all staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Outlook)

**What You Do**:

- Inspire, coach, mentor, build, develop, and support a team of dedicated professionals to deliver business objectives

- Implement initiatives designed to increase employee engagement and improve recruitment and retention
- Administer and manage relevant operating agreements, budgets, and contracts; review and approve expenditures and service standards; meet service delivery objectives and manage division activities within budgetary limits
- Forecast, document and report Key Performance Indicators to measure the effectiveness of the transit operations and develop strategies to correct problem areas
- Remain current with latest transportation technology systems and procedures
- Recommend or authorize capital expenditures for acquisition of new equipment or property to increase efficiency and services of transit operations
- Negotiate collective agreements
- Conduct collision/incident and customer complaint investigations and make recommendations and action plans

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $95,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
