PWTransit is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as part-time Transit Bus Drivers. Part-time drivers will receive a guarantee of 25 hours per week.

**Responsibilities**
- Transport customers in accordance with Municipal and Company policies, observing all traffic laws and safety rules and adhering to time schedules
- Complete a variety of vehicle and incident reports as required. Carry out emergency/accident procedures when required
- Courteously and professionally interact with customers, including loading mobility devices and escorting customers to and from curbside as required, answer inquiries en route, make general announcements to customers, issue transfers, collect correct fares and ensure valid passes are presented and arrange for passenger pick-up and drop-off as required

**Qualifications**
- Valid class BZ driver’s license with a demonstrated record of safe and responsible driving over the past 5 years (driver’s abstract and CVOR will be requested)
- Significant skills dealing effectively with the public, including demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, problem solving, and sound decision-making in positions providing customer service
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to communicate effectively with the traveling public and to report on incidents involving safety and/or service
- Willing to work shifts, including split shifts, weekends, and statutory holidays
- No criminal convictions or pending charges relating directly to the Operator position

**Additional Information**
- A good knowledge of Milton and area is an asset
- Selected applicants will be required to participate in a comprehensive recruitment process which consists of interviews, trainability session, medical examination (as required for licensing), drug and alcohol screening, criminal record and reference checks

**Wage**

Starting at $24.25 and increasing to $32.93 after one year

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: $24.45-$32.93 per hour
