**About Us**

BACKLAND Expedition Gear is a proudly Canadian manufacturer of premium aftermarket parts for Sprinter vans. We ship high-quality components across North America and take pride in our craftsmanship, efficiency, and attention to detail. We're looking for a highly dependable, detail-obsessed Packaging Assistant to join our growing team.

**Role Overview**

This is a hands-on position that plays a key role in getting orders to customers on time, damage-free, and professionally presented. You'll be responsible for carefully packing various van accessories and hardware components, printing labels, preparing shipments for pickup, and supporting the warehouse and shipping team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Accurately pack items for individual and bulk orders using correct materials and methods
- Follow product-specific packaging procedures (training provided)
- Inspect items before packing to catch any issues early
- Print shipping labels, match them with orders, and prepare outgoing parcels
- Wrap and protect items using foam, cardboard, shrink wrap, etc.
- Help load packages into delivery trucks
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Assist with inventory-related tasks as needed

We need someone who is careful, methodical, and reliable—who takes pride in doing things right the first time and who pays close attention to the details that protect our products and ensure a great customer experience.

**Required Skills & Traits**
- Excellent attention to detail — you notice small things others miss
- Physically able to handle parcels up to **150 lbs (with help or using equipment)**:

- Comfortable using or learning to use **wheel buggies and pallet jacks**:

- Forklift assistance is available for skids and oversized items
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Able to work independently and stay focused
- Quick learner who follows instructions to the letter
- Positive attitude and team player mentality
- Reliable and punctual
- Basic computer literacy (printing labels, reading digital orders)

**Bonus if you have**:

- Experience in shipping/receiving, fulfillment, or warehouse work
- Familiarity with Shopify, ClickShip, or other eCommerce platforms
- Forklift certification (not required - we have certified operators)
