1000 Islands Addiction Treatment Centre is a private residential addiction and mental health residential centre, including medical detox centre.

We are looking for a part time cook.

The following responsibilities are a summary but not limited to:

- Must be able to set up and cook for Minimum 25-40 people
- Setting up, cleaning, and organizing workstations
- Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.
- Preparing oven, utensils, and grill for shift
- Cooking order according to food health and safety standards
- Handling multiple food orders at one time
- Ensuring each guest order has the correct food and sides
- Paying close attention to food allergies and preferences
- Storing all food properly
- Sanitizing and cleaning workstations and utensils at the end of shift
- Assisting other cooks in preparing food

**Must be**:

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work alone.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Physical endurance to stand for an entire shift
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to lift up to 25 pounds or more
- Must pass a background check

**Experience**:

- Culinary: 1 year (preferred)
- cooking: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Food Safe, Safe Check, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour plus benefits which will include: Dental care, extended health care and vision

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 22 per week

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
