**Job Description**:
The principal role of **Junior Field Technician **is to work under the direction of the senior field technician to execute field projects, learn all aspects of the job, promote a healthy and safe workplace while ensuring top performance and quality service. Please note that out of town and camp work is a requirement.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Accountable to take on any tasks that is assigned by the senior technicians that will ensure the success of project execution and delivery
- Flexible and highly motivated to learn and understand assigned scope of work and see it through to completion
- Confident to formulate and ask questions to develop an understanding and knowledge of the day-to-day tasks and effectively communicate with senior technician to work through any challenges or roadblocks
- Ensure field truck is organized and routine maintenance is scheduled, manage truck consumables, material pickup, equipment maintenance, and be skilled with the use and maintenance of hand tools
- Follow and understand the company’s policies and processes related to completion of field tickets, time entry and all required documentation
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOP) and processes and participate in regular field audits for competency and training purposes
- Ensure any nonbillable related activities are approved by the IS area team lead before executed
- Responsible to communicate requests for accommodations, vacation and/or leave requests to team lead well in advance
- Participate in on-call rotation support for both field technicians and clients
- Engage in and contribute to team building activities to promote a team environment

- Strong focus on promoting the safety culture at Intricate and ensuring that safe work procedures and processes are followed in the field
- Create and foster healthy working relationships with clients and vendors
- Focused on providing best-in-class services and ensuring quality workmanship
- Participate in all required department, area and company meetings
- Expected to be 95% - 100% billable
- Expected to work in both field and office environments depending on current business needs
**HSE - Safety**
- Ensure that company HSE policies and processes are followed and corrective measures are carried out
- Ensure all HSE training and certifications are maintained and up to date at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance and identify safety issues
- Recognize unsafe activities or operations and communicate to team lead
- Ensure incident and hazard reporting is completed and communicated to senior field technician
**Qualifications**:
**Qualifications / Experience**
- Out of town and camp work is required
- High school diploma
- Industry related certification and/or work experience is an asset but not required
- Experience working with basic hand tools
- Valid Alberta Class 5 operator’s license or equivalent with clean driver abstract
- Required HSE training for field work
**Physical Requirements**
- Standard office and field environment
- Will be required to drive to work sites
- Will be exposed to work site hazards while performing HSE related task
- Ability to manage and deal with ever changing job requirements
- Capable of lifting objects up to 50 lbs with aid as required
