Facility Equipment Operator I

**Overview**

Clean Harbors in **Ryley, AB** location is currently looking for a **Heavy Equipment Operator** to join their safety conscious team This position is responsible for safely operating and maintaining the heavy equipment used in the landfill.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Operate a variety of trucks and equipment, including: lugger trucks, rock trucks, highway trucks, vacuum trucks, water trucks, skid-steers, dozers, track hoes and forklifts;
- Pump and monitor leachate systems in the landfills;
- Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance;
- Timely and accurate completion of all required paperwork.

**Qualifications**
- Class 5 license is required;
- Previous heavy equipment operating experience is an asset (forklift, track hoes, dozers, loaders);
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment;
- Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time;
- Ability to lift 50lbs regularly throughout the day.
