Staff and volunteers are committed to making Greenwood Court "a place to call home" for its residents. **About the Food Service Supervisor position**: The Food Service Supervisor assists the Director of Nutrition Services, Housekeeping & Laundry to supervise all aspects of the Dietary department and provides administrative support to the department. **WAGE**:$ 23.35 to $ 27.08 hourly **EXPERIENCE** - Must have completed or be enrolled in a Food Service Worker program from a recognized college as defined by the Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology, or a registered private career college in Ontario. - OR - A chef training or culinary management diploma or certificate - OR - A post-secondary diploma in food and nutrition management or a post-secondary degree in food nutrition - Safe Food Handling certificate offered or approved by Public Health is required (within last 5 years) **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES** - Supervisory experience in a unionized Long-Term Care setting or Retirement Residence is an asset. - Strong computer skills, being able to operate Excel, Outlook and Word - Knowledge of nutritional needs of the elderly. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work and communicate effectively with geriatric residents. - Ability to be an effective team player who works well with others. - Knowledgeable of the Ontario Food Premises Regulation, Ontario Regulation 79/10 made under the Long Term Care Homes Act, 2007, and the OH&S Act. **About Tri-County Mennonite Homes** **WHAT WE OFFER**: - Full-time, part-time and casual opportunities - Pension plan - Health and dental benefits - Short-term disability - Life insurance - Paid orientation - Training opportunities and career development - Employee appreciation lunches and events - Employee Assistance Program - An employee Social Committee - Tuition support programs - Employee pricing on meals from our kitchen - A positive and supportive working environment Tri-County Mennonite Homes is dedicated to keep our residents and staff safe and improve the quality of life for our residents.
