Overview
Duties
- Develop, implement, and manage training programs related to shipping and receiving processes.
- Coordinate training sessions for employees on transportation management systems and supply chain best practices.
- Utilize software tools such as SyteLine and AS400 for data entry and tracking training progress.
- Communicate effectively with team members to identify training needs and gather feedback on program effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and employee progress.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure comprehensive training on freight management.
- Provide ongoing support and resources for employees to enhance their skills in phone etiquette and customer service within the supply chain context. Qualifications
- Proven experience(6 month to 1 year) in a training or instructional role, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, freight operations, and transportation management systems.
- Proficiency in data entry with attention to detail; familiarity with SyteLine or AS400 is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience with 3PL operations is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
