**Job Title: Full-Time Maintenance Assistant**

**Location**: Best Western Plus Stoneridge Inn & Conference Centre, 6675 Burtwistle Lane, London, ON

**Reports To**: General Manager / Maintenance Manager

**Employment Type**: Full-Time

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
- Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks across all hotel areas (guest rooms, common areas, kitchen, banquet spaces)
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring mínimal disruption to guests and staff
- Oversee and manage maintenance logs, inspections, and service schedules
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and scheduled servicing
- Ensure all building systems comply with health, safety, fire, and building codes
- Maintain exterior areas including parking lots, signage, landscaping support, and seasonal tasks (e.g., snow removal)
- Work collaboratively with the General Manager and department heads to prioritize work and support ongoing operational needs

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience or general interest in maintenance role very important.
- Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general carpentry a definite asset.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
- Working knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot effectively, and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility to respond to after-hours emergencies as needed
- Valid driver’s license; trade certification(s) an asset
