We are currently seeking:
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Investigate health and safety related complaints, spills of hazardous chemicals, outbreaks of diseases or poisonings, and workplace hazards.
- Inspect workplaces to ensure equipment, materials and production processes do not present a safety hazard to employees or the general public.
- Develop, implement and evaluate health and safety programs and strategies.
- Keep records of all incidents and maintain detailed and accurate documentation.
- Ensure safe work practices are followed on site.
- Review and approve safety equipment purchases.
- Provide site orientations to new workers/ visitors.
- Conduct Toolbox and site safety meetings for site staff.
- Take appropriate action to correct unsafe acts or conditions.
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years experience as a CSO, preferably in multi-residential.
- Valid Construction Safety Officer certificate.
- Valid OFA 3 ticket.
- Strong Communication Skills.
- Must be able to commit to full time employment.
- Organized and responsible.
- Be able to commute to and from work.
- Strong knowledge OHS regulations.
- Computer proficient.
- Must own PPE.
Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
