**Position Summary** As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately managing inventory, overseeing receiving and issuing of materials, tracking stock levels, and supporting operational efficiency. You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager to maintain optimal inventory levels in a fast-paced work environment. **Key Responsibilities** Inventory Control & Record Management - Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records. - Monitor stock levels, identify shortages/overages, and adjust system entries. - Maintain proper stock rotation and dispose of or report expired or obsolete items. Receiving & Issuing - Receive incoming materials: verify quantities, inspect for damage, and update inventory system. - Prepare and issue stock for production or shipping; record all movements. Requisitions & Replenishment - Initiate purchase requisitions for low-stock items. Reporting & Documentation - Compile daily/weekly inventory reports, including stock valuation and turnover metrics. - Assist in month-end and year-end inventory audits. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with purchasing to coordinate material flows. - Report discrepancies and collaborate on root cause analysis for stock issues. Physical Responsibilities - Handle and move materials; occasionally operate forklift or pallet jack. - Maintain clean, organized storage areas and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Qualifications & Skills - High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in inventory, logistics, or a related field is a plus. - 2-3+ years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP software. - Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills. - Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. - Forklift certification is an asset. - Plumbing and heating experience, seen as an asset. - Vaid Drivers Licence - Ability to lift, bend, and work in a warehouse environment.
