**Excavator Operators - Water & Sewer**

**Key Information**:

- ** Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an excavator operator.**:

- ** Must have Underground utilities/Water & Sewer** experience.**:

- ** Must be able to operate and maintain heavy equipment.**:

- ** Hours: Project dependent**:

- ** Must be willing to work evenings and weekends on various schedules.**:

- **Hourly rate is dependent on experience.**:

- ** Health benefits, pension plan, RRSP matching, vacation pay offered.**
- ** Operate heavy equipment, clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.**:

- ** Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, secure special attachments to equipment**.
- Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment, perform minor repairs to equipment.
- Execute high volume production.
- Fine grading and finishing.
- When required, assist other operators, labourers, and trades.
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks for equipment.

**Experience and Certification Requirements**:

- ** A minimum of 5 years of experience as an excavator operator required.**:

- ** Water & Sewer/Underground Utilities construction experience is required.**:

- ** CSTS-09, WHMIS 2015, Ground Disturbance Level 2 are required.**:

- You have the ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes and produce workable solutions and work positively within a team to achieve a common goal.

**Education**: Completion of high school is required.
