**Position Summary**

This position is responsible for general maintenance assignments, facility renovation and general construction work, equipment installation, and day-to-day equipment and facilities repairs. This includes, but is not limited to, general repairs in areas of plumbing, lighting and carpentry, distributing delivered material to the correct location, keeping track of maintenance item stock levels, moving equipment and furniture as needed for cleaning or renovation purposes, doing demolition, and general cleanup.

**Job Duties**
- Follow given work orders (oral, written, and electronic) to complete facility maintenance, renovation, and construction tasks
- Perform maintenance, repairs and start-ups of mechanical/industrial equipment
- Maintain, troubleshoot and provide preventative maintenance to all facility machinery
- Identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, analyze, and repair various types of facility equipment
- Use diagnostic tools to test machine components
- Perform electrical work such as low voltage, 3phase power, transformers, tracing and documenting existing wiring, etc.
- Cabling - network, alarm, access control, equipment controls and other low voltage wiring, equipment specific cabling, troubleshooting POE circuits, sensors, control circuits, VOIP, cameras, etc.
- Plumbing - domestic water supply and drains, treated water lines, pumps, water heaters, hydraulics, and other piping systems
- Perform repairs such as replacing bulbs and ballasts in light fixtures, repairing leaking sinks and toilets
- Perform renovation and construction work including carpentry, drywall, painting, concrete, and insulation etc.
- Perform indoor and outdoor general building maintenance and cleaning
- Use of AutoCAD to keep drawing records up to date
- Move equipment such as furniture and equipment as directed by using hand trucks and other tools and to follow safety guidelines pertaining to lifting, pushing and pulling heavy objects
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records pertaining to repairs and cleaning schedules
- Work with other trades and contractors to complete projects and assigned tasks
- Maintain a positive and progressive team atmosphere across all departments
- Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure
- Maintain a clean working environment, possessing an attitude of high standards of cleanliness
- Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Assist in any task the Head of Security designates as an immediate priority to preserve the physical or environmental security of the building, contents, or staff
- Attend any training session designated by the Company
- Other duties may be assigned from time to time

**Qualifications**
- Licence in a skilled trade or equivalent is a strong asset
- General maintenance or construction background
- Working at Heights, Elevating Mobile Platforms, Forklift, and other trainings as mandated by OHSA and other applicable regulations is a strong asset
- Ability to read blueprints, facility plans, schematics, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Linux, and AutoCAD software are strong assets
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Competent use of hand tools, power tools, ladders, and equipment
- Willingness to learn new techniques and skills as new systems are introduced
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to work in a cannabis manufacturing environment
- Clean criminal record
- Reliable attendance is mandatory
- Excellent workplace housekeeping is essential
- Team worker able to co-exist with other staff and assist whenever able

**Working Conditions**
- PPE Required: PPE as required by the OHSA, or SOPs specific to the area or task
- Maintenance performed at the Fort Erie facility

**Physical Requirements**
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
- Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- The ability to lift 20-40 pounds regularly
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in cramped spaces
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- The ability to safely climb stairs while carrying 20-40 pounds
