**IT Advisor (TCA Sustainment)**

**Position Highlights**
Reporting to the Technology Cybersecurity Manager, the TCA Sustainment IT Advisor role requires a strong understanding
of cybersecurity principles, technical, and CIP compliance standards. It involves planning and compliance operations for IT
Transient Cyber Assets (TCA) and Removable Media (RM) devices/systems used for support of Operational Technology
(OT) and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure the organization's information systems are secure and compliant
with relevant regulations including NERC CIP.
**What you'll do**
- Work with stakeholders to quickly and effectively implement solutions, ensuring they are thoroughly tested and
documented before implementation in the BC Hydro production environments.
- Assist internal stakeholders and external service providers to provide cost-effective and reliable services to BC Hydro
business by delivering devices/systems technical support and ensuring they are operational for the Operational Technology.
- Support established processes for device-specific ad-hoc patch updates and minor infrastructure software and firmware
upgrades. Additionally, manage and ensure compliance with internal IT processes such as Change Management and
Production Turnover (PTO).
- Maintain and provide oversight on support procedures, ensuring that sustainment documentation, processes, and
resources are in place as required.
- Work closely with Cybersecurity and Compliance teams to ensure that security and compliance requirements related to in
scope devices/systems are met.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of corporate process with NERC CIP requirements for in
scope devices/systems.
- Manage and ensure NERC CIP compliance for the devices/systems in scope including the mandatory compliance
activities and best practice internal control activities.
- Participate as a NERC CIP and Technology Security SME on projects on infrastructure upgrade initiatives to improve BC
Hydro’s cybersecurity posture, focused on the technical solutions for TCA and RM for OT.
- Participate or coordinate response to various internal and external cybersecurity audits related to the in scope devices/
system when required.
** What you bring**
- A university degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, with a minimum of 7 years in IT/OT
technology, cybersecurity, risk management, or audit-related work.
- industry standards (ISO 270001/2, NIST, COBIT5) and NERC CIP standards is preferred.
- Experience on developing, managing or supporting Cyber Security Information Technology (IT) or Operational Technology
(OT) programs (for example, desktop support and configuring devices for OT) would be considered an asset.
OT assets as well as a strong knowledge of Protection and Control concepts. However, transferable experience may be
considered.
- Understanding of audit requirements, including the ability to analyze compliance quality, accuracy and adequacy.
- Ability to obtain security clearance for a Security Sensitive Position, translate technical risks into actionable business
language, and negotiate effectively.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical matters to non
- technical audiences.
- Experience on project management and task coordination.
- Experience on internal control process improvement.
- A team player with strong time-management and organizational skills, capable of working autonomously in a dynamic
environment and adjusting quickly to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change.
