Lifestyle Personal Support Services is recruiting for part-time/casual Direct Support Worker positions. Our team of dedicated professionals provides one-on-one, direct support to an individual with complex needs. We're looking for reliable and compassionate self-starters to provide medical care and practical living support. The Direct Support Worker will work alongside the individual’s family, and current team to develop their presence in the community, and support them in living an independent life.

- Promote an environment that will foster personal growth, social inclusion, leisure recreation, emotional health, while meeting individuals personal health needs
- Great at time management and possess organizational skills to meet the needs of the individual you’re supporting
- Flexibility with ever-changing needs during shift
- Must have the physical ability to assist with walking, provide personal care, push a wheelchair, drive, and complete regular household tasks (lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling).
- Supporting the individual in creating action plans to pursue personal interests
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Assisting with basic practical living skills, such as getting dressed, eating, and walking
- Special diet preparation
- Liaising with relatives, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
- Writing records and reports
- Organizing social activities and holiday events
- Helping to enable/engage to have a full and independent life
Requirements to be eligible:
- Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities
- Negative Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance
- Valid CPR/First Aid
- Valid Drivers License, Access to Reliable Transportation & Insurance
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
**Salary**: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
