**Full Time Support Assistant Needed in Tecumseh**

Looking for an easy going and thoughtful individual to provide assistance for a 37-year-old male in his home and within his community.

This role would be best suited for someone who is flexible, reliable and can provide thoughtful and sensitive accompaniment. Someone who can engage a curious man in creative ways while maintaining a calm and adaptable energy. This man lives with daily seizures so it would be an asset having someone who has the skill set to manage seizures. There could be several moments of down time during shifts so assisting the family in other areas is encouraged and appreciated.

As his supportive assistant, you possess a willingness to learn, have strong observation and communication skills and can follow the lead and direction of the family.

The family is currently looking for consistent coverage Monday, Tuesday and Thursday during the day from 6am to 4pm at a rate of pay of $21-23 an hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

**Some of the supportive duties required include**: Personal Care, Alternative Communication methods, Building Life Skills, Medication Administration, Participation in Community Events and Activities.
- **This is a self-employed Independent Contract Support Worker position. This position works directly with the family support coordinator and the family and all scheduling and training is delivered by the family support coordinator.**_

**Salary**:$21.00-$23.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications
