The Guiding Light Women Empowerment Society is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering families and uplifting vulnerable communities through faith-centered support, advocacy, and outreach initiatives. As we expand our impact through food distribution, empowerment programs, and community events, securing funding is essential to sustaining and growing our mission.

We are seeking a skilled volunteer to support our fundraising efforts through grant research and proposal writing.

**Role Summary**:
The Grant Researcher & Writer will play a key role in identifying potential funding opportunities and crafting compelling grant proposals aligned with our mission and community programs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about social impact, experienced in writing, and eager to support a growing grassroots organization.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Research prospective government, foundation, and private sector grants

Develop and write grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents

Maintain a grants calendar to track deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements

Collaborate with program leaders to gather relevant data and impact stories

Ensure all submissions align with organizational voice and objectives

Assist in reporting and impact summaries for awarded grants

**Qualifications**:
Strong written communication and storytelling skills

Experience in grant writing, fundraising, nonprofit communications, or research

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Passion for community empowerment and social justice

Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset but not required
