**Telecom Technician**

**Responsibilities**
- Equipment installation / build / maintenance / upgrade / decommission of telecommunications network infrastructure and site
- Year-round, hands-on work on outdoor cell sites / data centres along with other indoor facilities
- Working with structured cabling/ installation drops and POE
- Customers include - Bell, Rogers, Telus, Freedom, Nokia
- Experienced with general Telecom construction including installation of equipment, steel mounts, cabinets, fibre optic / data / power cable systems, cable tray, conduit, microwave, testing, batteries, grounding systems
- Telecom [wireless / wireline experience] testing / commissioning / integration, working knowledge of safety standards and regulations, basic knowledge of electrical safety.

**Qualifications**
- 1-3 years Canadian or international experience
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
- Good English skills both written and oral, ability to follow direction and work well within a team
- Able to follow technical documents, blueprints and engineered drawings
- Valid drivers license and clean abstract required
- Manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude for proficient use of power tools and equipment
- Comfortable working at heights -climbing at 15-20ft on ladders

**Success in the Role**
- Possess manual dexterity to complete fine motor tasks.
- Ability to travel as needed; must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Understand and adhere to NEC, ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and local building codes, standards.
- Ability to work alone, with strong multi-tasking skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

**Work Environment**
- Regular hours are 7:00-3:00PM,8:00 am - 4:00 pm or 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, however some flexibility is required (nights may be required at times).
- Work outside, at heights or in confined spaces
- Heavy lifting, manual work and proficient use of installation tool

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
