Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team for an upcoming installation project commencing January 2026. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working as a team to install, terminate, and test low-voltage network cabling and communication systems, including structured network infrastructure and related equipment. This role requires a technical background, electrical or cabling experience, hands-on work, and the ability to work safely in various environments.

Technicians must be able to collaborate with a team, follow installation standards, and accommodate an overnight work schedule (typically 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM) as well as required travel. All required training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, label, and test low-voltage network and communication cabling.
  • Mount and secure communication hardware and related equipment.
  • Interpret basic drawings, layouts, and wiring standards to complete installations accurately.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and test instruments safely and effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to complete tasks within scheduled timelines.
  • Follow all company procedures, installation standards, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and materials.
  • Travel as required and work overnight shifts based on project schedules.
  • Operate and work from scissor lifts safely, following all safety guidelines and training.

Skills

  • Knowledge of low-voltage cabling and communication systems.

  • Competent use of hand tools, power tools, and test instruments.
  • Ability to read and follow basic drawings, layouts, and wiring standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Comfortable working overnight shifts and traveling when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
