**Primary Responsibilities and Activities**
- Managing of the Shop Supervisor, Projects Manager, technicians and drivers, and the Rental Inventory & Fleet Coordinator. Hold them accountable for quality, productivity, and Customer service.
- Coach, mentor, and lead the operations team to achieve sales targets, equipment availability, overhead and repair costs that meet company budgets and objectives.
- Communicating, explaining, and reinforcing company; goals, objectives, plans and strategies
- Increase technician/driver productivity with the objective of improving our competitiveness and increasing profitability.
- Ensure that proper project management of major repairs and special projects occurs ensuring the proper number of hours and material is estimated with on time, on budget execution.
- Ensure proper tracking of all vehicles, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment to ensure that all government certifications and inspections are current and valid.
- Responsible for ensuring a professional and safe work environment for all employees. Report any unsafe work environment to the Company’s Health and Safety Rep or employee relations matters to HR.
- Lead Joint Health and Safety Committee. Responsible for proper documentation, inspection, communication, and other duties to exceed regulatory requirements.
- Assist and support direct reports in determining if they should proceed or stop work on activities where H&S or site preparedness has been raised as a concern.
- Manage and approve operation employee regular time, overtime and related time sheet review and approval.
- Coordinate direct reports vacation schedules to ensure there are always enough personnel to properly support our Customers & sales contracts.
- Complete a “Work With” with each driver/technician a minimum of 1 time per year. This valuable time will be used to encourage feedback and recommendations plus ensuring appropriate service delivery, on-site performance, and health and safety levels are met.
- Consult with Manager Technical Services to determine training requirements to improve equipment availability, reliability and reduce costs.
- Ensure proper coordination and scheduling of deliveries, pick ups, maintenance and repair occurs always prioritizing emergencies. All scheduled service appointments are to be kept. In circumstances beyond our control make sure the Customer is contacted prior to the scheduled appointment and advise them of the change.
- Monitor and follow changes in government rules and regulations related to labour and transportation changes, safety requirements, and environment issues.

**Business Management Responsibilities**
- Present new ideas for revenue growth, productivity and reliability improvements and cost reductions.
- Provide budgets and operational objectives as requested and required.
- Assist credit and collections department with resolving Customer disputes and/or non-payment.
- Lead and host 3 shop meetings per year
- Coordinate annual roundtable and town halls
- Team management duties, including timely employee coaching meetings (2x per year per employee), recruiting, compensation, team building events, disciplinary action, performance improvement plans, employee development, safety and training

**Other Requirements**
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office modules.
- Technical aptitude (engines, control systems, networks and regulatory codes) is an asset.
- Participate in company sponsored training programs as provided.
- Aid all LM and Total PowerGen Solutions colleagues.
- In the case of a power outage or declared State of Emergency by any level of Government, be available for work.
