**Position Description**:
Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding, self-directed administrative role that will utilize your organizational, inter-personal communication and time management skills? The SickKids MRI and MEG Core Facilities are looking for an individual to support the smooth operations of these closely related Research Imaging areas. This shared position is equivalent to 1.0 full time employment.

The Patient Information Clerk is typically the first point of contact for the Research MRI/MEG Facilities, where patients, study participants and their families arrive to the department. Service is provided in a customer-focused manner. The Patient Information Clerk provides a high level of support to technologists, research teams, volunteers, and participants/families. This position supports the operations by providing clerical and administrative functions in a proactive, organized manner.

- Registration of study participants in EPIC
- Managing research bookings in the scheduling system Calpendo
- Responsible for financial tasks such as monthly internal and external billings in My Finance
- Provide clerical support for research MRI and MEG technologists
- Developing and coordinating systems such as billing, supplies, and managing inventory
- Assisting in meeting the needs of participants and their families as required

**Here¿s What You¿ll Need**
- Diploma from a recognized administrative/secretarial program or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of two years of medical administrative experience in a hospital or medical environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic proficiency with computer programs is essential such as the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong communication, inter-personal and organizational skills
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities
- Ability to be self-directed, flexible, and to take initiative
- Ability to work withing a team environment
- Attention to detail
- Efficient time management
- Strong customer service orientation
- EPIC experience in patient registration and billing are definite assets
