**Student Well-Being Summer Wellness Initiatives Temporary Positions Summer Social Worker - 3 positions (25 hours/week M-F, 8:30am-2:00pm July 2-29)**
These temporary positions are only open to internal permanent and LTO applicants.
(3) SWs will provide brief individual therapeutic support to students in the Summer Wellness Program (starting July 7, 2025) and students enrolled in Summer School (starting July 2, 2025)
SW will facilitate referrals to community agencies as needed
**Service Delivery Model**
In person. Sites in all areas: North (Hawthorne Village, Silver Creek, Elsie McGill) West (Alexander’s, Dr. Frank J.Hayden) East (Forest Trail, Garth Webb).
Assignments will be determined by Managers.
**Responsibilities of HDSB Student Well-Being PSSP Positions**:
Provide comprehensive, identity affirming and inclusive support to students and families
Utilize knowledge of local and regional community resources to make referrals
Maintain HDSB Social Work and Child and Youth Counsellor Standards of Practice for record keeping and service delivery
Social Workers will provide service in accordance with the Ontario College of Social Work Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
**Qualifications**:
Social Workers
The minimum education required for this position is a Master of Social Work Degree. Applicants must have a current licence with the Ontario College of Social Workers.
