**Your Demolition Technician Role**

We are looking for an individual to join our team of other Demolition & Asbestos Technicians to help the crew to get to the finish line on each job while adhering to all WorkSafe BC rules and regulations for health and safety (This training is provided).

This is a proactive role and will require someone who is motivated to get the job done quickly with a strong attention to detail. You aren’t afraid to ask questions and make suggestions on how to get a job done quickly and effectively.

**Responsibilities**include, but are not limited to:

- Removing and disposing materials (general demolition such as drywall, asbestos, lead, etc)
- Working with hand & power tools
- Driving a variety of different kinds of company vehicles
- Setting up and taking down of worksites
- Documenting and completing any required paperwork for each job site
- Attending ongoing training and certification classes, as required & desired based on goals for advancement
- Following WorkSafe BC health and safety protocols (Training Provided)

**Requirements**:

- Willing to work with hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead and/or mould in the near future
- Willing and able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Willing and able to be clean shaven to ensure proper respirator fit (if applicable)
- Thrives working in a team environment
- Committed to following safe work practices
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Be comfortable with heights and ladders
- Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to communicate in English; written, reading and speaking

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Valid BC Driver’s License
- Legally able to work in Canada
- Lives within the lower mainland (head office is in Coquitlam)
- Previous demolition or asbestos abatement experience is great but not required
- Resume is Optional
- References may be asked for after your interview

Pay: $22.00-$23.00 per hour
