This role is responsible for being the first on the scene when there is damage from floods, fire, or smoke. For an Emergency Services Technician, you are entrusted in water extraction, handling drying and dehumidifying equipment, and partaking in controlled demolition of damaged materials - you get to stay fit on the job
Wages between $19-$28/hour, depending on experience.
**What you’ll be doing as a Fire & Flood Technician**
- Helping people recover from flood, fire, and smoke damage
- Water extraction, setting up and monitoring drying and dehumidifying equipment, bio wash, creating drying plans based on IICRC guidelines
- Controlled demolition, removal or damaged materials like drywall, flooring, and finishing’s
- Provide support to our clients and take pride in your work

**You have**
- Fire and Flood restoration and/or demolition experience is an asset - we are always looking for experienced technicians and leads
- No experience required for junior technicians - we will train you in demolition and restoration if you are new to the industry
- The physical ability to bend, reach, lift 50 pounds safely and repeatedly and stand throughout your shift.
- A driver’s license and personal vehicle to attend on call sites is a must (mileage is reimbursed)
- The ability to wear personal protective equipment to keep you safe on site, including a respirator. Facial hair that will allow you to wear a respirator safely is limited to a clean shave, a moustache and/or a small goatee
- We enter people’s homes and drive company vehicles, so a clean criminal record as it relates to work and a drivers abstract with only minor infractions is required
- An eagerness to bulk your paycheck with overtime hours as we are a 24/7 emergency services company, and all positions will have a component of on-call work on a rotational basis
- A great attitude and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done and serve our customers
**Where**
- Hiring in Vancouver, Coquitlam, Surrey, Abbotsford, Whistler, Summerland, Penticton and Kamloops, BC
- Travel will be required to attend job sites in your region (mileage reimbursed at $0.50c/km). Job sites are mostly indoors.
**When**
- Typical hours are 7:30am-4:30pm. Rotating on-call schedule to attend after hour emergencies, which means good overtime hours and pay for our team.
