**Title: Deficiency Technician**

**Type**: Full Time, Hourly

**Wage Range: $25-$30**

**Reports to**: Operations Manager

**Description**: Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Deficiency Technician plays a key role by supporting, mentoring and supervising our teams of Deficiency Technicians at work sites about Metro Vancouver. This role requires a keen eye for detail to ensure quality work and excellent organization, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills to work positively with field technicians and operations management.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ability to both perform and supervise the work of Deficiency Technicians, handling the deficiencies on site such as painting and drywall repairs, caulking, silicone, countertop repairs, mullion restoration, cabinets, flooring, and stain steel refinishing.
- Provide supervision, mentorship and training to Deficiency Technicians to ensure work is completed to standard.
- Understand and support the successful implementation of quality control and safety standard protocols.
- Working closely with higher level management to ensure that the activities of the organization are running efficiently.
- Delivering quality customer service, and collaborating effectively with management.
- Assisting with developing and implementing strategies and processes that maximize the productivity of the company's employees.
- Delegating maintenance tasks/schedules to the rest of the team.
- Supporting the Maintenance team on tools/jobs whenever necessary.
- Keeping track of and ordering necessary supplies and material inventories.
- Ensuring basic tools and machinery are in working order by performing regular inspections.
- Assist the management team to evaluate technician’s skill sets and performance.

**Skills Required**:

- Technical Skills:

- Required: Painting, Silicone and caulking, Drywall repairs
- Experience is an asset: Floor repairs, Tile repairs, Stone restoration, Mullion repairs, Cabinet and millwork repairs and alignment, Countertop repairs and refinishing, Bathtub Repairs and scratch removal, Stainless steel Refinishing, Spraytex ceilings, Damage prevention, Quality Control
- A self-starter with a willingness to ask questions and find solutions;
- Ability to work independently and in cooperation with the Operations Manager
- Effective English written and oral communications skills;
- Tech savvy and previous administration experience is an asset;
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of or experience in trades and maintenance work is desired. Minimum 2 years construction industry experience, preference for deficiency experience
- BC Driver’s Licence is an asset
- Familiarity with SiteMax software is an asset

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Deficiency Technician: 1 year (preferred)
