**Position Overview**
We’re seeking a dedicated B Gas Fitter to join our team on a part-time basis. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role involves the installation and maintenance of gas appliances. You’ll collaborate closely with our Senior Appliance Technicians to ensure every installation is conducted with precision, safety, and compliance with all applicable standards.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Safely install gas appliances at residential and small commercial locations
- Conduct safety inspections and leak tests on newly installed units
- Perform appliance relights as needed
- Follow safety guidelines to maintain a secure working environment
- Ensure all installations adhere to current codes, standards, and regulations
- Provide professional and clear communication to clients, explaining the installation process and answering questions
- Accurately record installation activities and maintain necessary documentation
- Submit required paperwork and reports to the Field Service Leader
- Utilize a handheld device to enter data into an electronic work order system
- Keep an organized inventory of tools, materials, and equipment

**Qualifications**
- Mechanical skills and experience with appliance repairs
- Class B gas fitting license valid in British Columbia
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and within a team setting
- Comfortable with digital data entry and electronic work systems
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
- Criminal background check required

**Position Details**
- **Job Type**: Part-time
- **Compensation**: $150 per completed job (equivalent to approximately $50 per hour)
- **Schedule**: 10-hour per week, with flexibility as needed

**Location**

**Experience**
- Preferred: 2 years of experience as a Gas Fitter

**Required Certification**
- Class B Gas Fitter Certificate

**Work Setting**
- In-person work required

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
