Maintenance Lead/mechanical

Ingredion is currently recruiting for the position of **Maintenance Lead, Mechanical** for the Cardinal, Ontario facility. This position is responsible for the leadership of Mechanical Shop employees to safely and efficiently perform their job duties. Ongoing responsibilities include reliability troubleshooting and repair of equipment in coordination with the needs of both the Operations and Engineering departments., focused on providing maintenance and project planning for the division and supporting the other leads.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading, promotion and administration of Safety, Health, Environmental and Employment Standards, complying with corporate standards and regulatory requirements applicable to area of responsibility.
- Oversight and leadership of the Mechanical Shop Technician and the Mechanical Shop Department; utilizing effective leadership skills to motivate and engage employees while promoting a self-directed work team building.
- Coordinating with Operations and Engineering to ensure that maintenance and reliability activities are carried out to meet the requirements of the plant.
- Working with technicians and peers to identify and deliver on production targets and improvement opportunities.
- Providing leadership as required to the department, motivating and engaging employees while promoting team building.
- Continual communication with the team through day to day interactions and regular crew meetings.

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering would be a benefit but not a requirement
- Previous leadership experience
- Knowledge of and experience using SAP
- Technical and / or trade knowledge
- General knowledge of industrial equipment, parts inventories and tools
- Knowledge and use of mechanical standard operating procedures
- Decision making ability, planning and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage in a dynamic manufacturing environment, interacting and communicating across functional lines and levels.
- Ability to train and coach others to improve performance.
- Ability to build consensus and foster positive relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$98,000.00 per year
