The Quality Control & Inventory Auditor reports directly to the Yard Supervisor/Manager and indirectly to the Operations/Branch Manager for Toronto and to the Head of Operations-Canada as required. He/she works with all aspects of inventory operations including inventory management, accuracy and control, purchasing (inter-company and vendor) and optimizing inventory accuracy processes.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assists to plan, organize and execute all physical inventory counts, compares to on-hand inventory in Discos to ensure quantities match - adjusts using options for the optimal benefit of the business
- Compares physical inventory counts with
- Tracks, verifies, and monitors inventory movement levels to ensure they are properly maintained using the in-house order processing and logistics systems. Reports any discrepancies or quality control issues relating to Doka’s products (preparing picture verifications of incoming and outgoing materials) to the Branch Yard Supervisor/Manager and/or Operations Manager;
- Audit outgoing delivery counts (ie. picking tickets);
- Audit incoming delivery counts (ie. returns and intercompany transfers);
- Tracks and monitors packing slips for incoming material and ensures they are processed fully and accurately;
- Continuous accuracy checks on inventory including random inventory counts and spot checks;
- Creates and executes S.M.A.R.T. plans regularly to maximize inventory accuracy - recommending improvements to the system as required;
- Participates in any implementation of inventory system improvements;
- Investigates discrepancies, locates error sources and initiates appropriate corrective actions to resolve;
- Final verification checks of all outgoing trucks - compares pick tickets to what is physically loaded on truck;
- Assists in preventing negative current inventory on a daily basis;
- Monitors and works to reduce surplus inventory as appropriate to avoid disorganization/overcrowding of the yard;
- Emphasizes to yard staff the significance of following proper procedures and care for optimal inventory control and accuracy;

- Takes ownership and pride for inventory accuracy;
- Other duties/projects as assigned;
- Assists in ensuring safe working practices and a safe working environment;
- Complies with all company policies and business practices.
**Qualifications**:
- High School Graduate Diploma - required
- Post-Secondary education in Business or Finance, Controlling, Logistics or Traffic desired.
- Experience in administration, operations or controlling preferred;
- Facilitates projects, self-initiates and effectively manages multiple tasks;
- Excellent communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing);
- Qualitative abilities including strong analytical skills, technical proficiency and effective problem solving skills.
- Willing and able to learn new computer systems, products, concepts and techniques.
- Organized team player able to work independently in a results-driven, fast-paced environment.
**Problem Solving**
This position requires the ability to support the branch operations function and urgently resolve operations related issues on short notice with mínimal information.

**Working Conditions**
Working conditions vary from that of an office environment: dry, cool, and well lit - to outside conditions (equipment yard), high noise level in certain areas and extreme outdoor temperatures.
