**SUMMARY**:
This position will be responsible for the coordination of work to ensure the successful completion of production schedules and shipments. The production planning/manufacturing coordinator will work closely with purchasing, production, and shipping to ensure orders are met within the given timeframe.

**JOB DUTIES**:

- Responsible for the scheduling and coordination of production orders to ensure the successful completion of production schedules and shipments
- Work closely with the purchasing, production, and shipping teams to ensure client orders are met within the given timeframe
- Coordinate with other management to obtain the maximum use of resources, including material management to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand
- Keep track of incoming materials (raw materials, packaging components etc..) and assign to production orders accordingly as they are received
- Provide input throughout in-house processes with the objective of reducing overall costs
- Assist in the coordination of production schedules
- Coordinate with other supervisors, leads, and managers to obtain maximum use of resources
- Manage material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand
- Perform other tasks as may be assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Proven experience in production coordination or a related role
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Strong inventory and production management skills
- Must possess excellent communication skills for liaising and communicating within internal departments
- Highly capable of multi-tasking, with mínimal supervision
- Extremely detail-oriented and analytical thinker.
- Able to interface directly with cross functional teams.
- Able to develop, review, and maintain metrics and audits.
- Proven problem identification skills.
- High level of proficiency with BatchMaster ERP system and Microsoft Office productivity suite
